    Default LGV Drivers

Have we got many on here? Or anyone like me that has done/is doing the test for its usefullness as they passed their test after '97 and can drive next to nothing with their licence?

I'll hopefully have my test next Thursday so just wondering if anyone's got any tips to share other than look in the mirrors 99% of the time

Ooo, thats a fair idea, I sometimes wonder if they see you looking in the mirrors but I guess this would help out with that!

Nice to see its not just me undergoing it at the moment though

I stalled the truck doing the braking exercise on my C + E test and went thru the rest of the test thinking I'd blown it. Much to my surprise I was told that I'd passed with only 4 minor faults. That was 3 1/2 years back and I'm still enjoying it.

I hope you went for your class 2 license, and not a class 3...

I did my class 2 last year, and class 1 this year, just keep in your head to use the road fully, take up two lanes if you need to

Yeah, the C licence Im doing. I was originally going to do the C1 over the summer holidays as I had bags of free time but then found out that they were changing the rules in September to allow me to do the whole C licence

You've never needed to do a class 3 before a class 2, you've always been able to go straight for the rigid license. Taking a class 3 would be pointless

Iv been looking into doing my hgv. The law's changed so i can get my class 1 before im 21. That CPC cost about £700? and you only have a year take it? Where as if you already had ur hgv you have 5 years to take it?

Well done that man, now all you need to do is pass your C + E test and you can come out to play with the big boys toys.
