Default Cheap Castrol Oil @ ASDA

Hi guys, don't think anyones posted about this yet and not sure if its only my local store (don't think it is)..

Currently I've seen ASDA selling 4 litres of 10w40 semi-synth magnatech oil for 10 which i thought was pretty damn cheap considering they sell 1 litre for 7..

The store i saw the offer at was the weston-super-mare branch.

Get it while you can !

Castrol is a BP brand and as such I would not recommend anyone use it. From an ecological perspective that is.

Oh, and just in case anyone thinks BP is British, read the whole article. BP hasn't stood for "British Petroleum" for a very long time now.

Magnatec is a mineral oil with heavy cleansers that they tehn brand as Semi Synthetic or 'Fully synthetic.
    I wouldn't use it.

Oil is oil people, none of it is good for the environment! I have a bootful due to the Mazda's unquenchable thirst for the slick stuff, it's suitable for both petrol and diesel engines.

Currently on about 2 liters a month when driven regularly. Not a great amount, but less than healthy. Booking it in for a pressure test next week hopefully, as long as it's not in a bodyshop by then! - Praying it's just a leaky gasket, because I can fix that. If it's piston rings then it's

Mines drinking abit of oil but thinking it's the valve stems. Might get it pressure tested.

It will be the valve stems. Its a common problem with the 1.6 zetec lump.
